Department of Digital Arts Hosts Training Workshop on User Experience (UX) by Trainer Ahmad M Alhuwwari
As part of its activities aimed at strengthening engagement with the local community and applying modern concepts in practice, the Department of Digital Arts and Design hosted a specialized training workshop on User Experience (UX) conducted by internationally certified trainer Ahmad M Alhuwwari, with attendance from a group of students and faculty members.
During the workshop, Al-Hawari covered several key topics, including an introduction to the importance of user experience and the necessity of integrating it into digital projects. He also outlined the stages of UX design, from research and idea generation to prototyping and testing. The workshop addressed the application of UX principles related to performance and interaction speed, and explained fundamental psychological laws such as Hick’s, Fitts’, and Miller’s laws and their role in improving digital design.
Participants were also introduced to key tools used collaboratively by designers and developers, such as Figma, followed by a practical exercise to analyze digital interfaces, identify UX issues, and propose effective solutions.
The workshop contributed to enhancing students’ understanding of how to build a comprehensive user experience in digital projects. At the conclusion of the session, the Department Head presented a certificate of appreciation to Ahmad M Alhuwwari in recognition of his collaboration, as well as a certificate to Ms. Walaa Haloub for her efforts in coordinating the visit.
