Khawarizmi University Technical College organized an introductory workshop titled
“Introducing Dual VET to KUTC” as part of the Palestine–Jordan Model for Dual Vocational
Education and Training (PJDVET – Erasmus+) project, which aims to enhance vocational
education and training in Jordan and Palestine by integrating academic learning with
hands-on workplace training.
The workshop was presented by Ms. Suzan Qadomi, Executive Manager, and attended by
Mr. Sultan Qadomi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Professor Feda Tamimi from ACAQ, Bruno Bernardes – IST-ULisboa, partner European university, and Eng. Safa’ Seder – Palestine Polytechnic University, partner Palestinian university.
The event brought together heads of academic departments and faculty members from both
the bachelor’s and diploma programs. The presentation highlighted the project’s objectives,
particularly the adaptation of the German Dual VET model to the Jordanian education
system, KUTC’s role in implementation, curriculum development, capacity building, and
strengthening cooperation with the private sector.
The workshop was interactive and engaging, with valuable discussions on practical steps for
applying the Dual VET model in Jordan. Participants emphasized the importance of this
initiative in improving graduate employability and aligning education with labor market needs.
In conclusion, Khawarizmi University Technical College reaffirmed its commitment to
advancing this pioneering project, fostering stronger links between education and the labor
market, and contributing to the development of a national model for Dual Vocational
Education and Training in Jordan.
